Michael Jang, CPA, CGA, CAFM

Michael majored in finance at Vancouver Island University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2001. Since then he has served communities on central Vancouver Island while working in public practice. He has a wide range of experience in accounting and financial related matters including personal and corporate taxation. Michael has worked at length providing assurance engagements for-profit and non-profit organizations in the Alberni Valley and on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Michael obtained his Certified General Accountants (now CPA) designation in May, 2006. He continued his development with the in-depth tax courses of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Michael is a member of the Aboriginal Financial officers Association of Canada and has obtained his Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM) designation. Recently, he became a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP) of Canada. Michael likes to spend his volunteer time with youth athletics and sports. He has volunteered as a coach for the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program and has served as past Treasurer for the Nanaimo Riptides Swim Team. Email: mike@sabojang.com
